I’m in the process of revamping/restructuring things so I apologize if everything looks a little cluttered! Just too many pictures, too little space. Eeeek.
It’s been amazing going through photos since I’ve been home. Still have tons to go through, but the editing experience (and the photographing) has been a blast. I was hoping to be re-inspired on this trip and I definitely found my passion again.
The biggest thing the journey through Australia / New Zealand taught me was how to twist fear into excitement; how to mentally shift the sheer terror of falling off a cliff (bungy jumping) into an adventure I couldn’t wait to embark upon.
I definitely feel different. I feel fulfilled and more confident with who I am as a person, happy I was able to overcome fears I didn’t know I had, as well as some I’ve had since I was a child. That is something I will never forget.
Yaaay made it home alive! So sad to leave New Zealand but definitely happy to be home. I’ll make some picture and blog posts this week, slowly downloading all 2,000 pics (oy vey).
My head is still on vacation, do I REALLY need to go to work this week?

I remember looking at a map in January and thinking “I’d love to see the other side of the world this summer…” I’ve been in Oz for two weeks and I still can’t believe I’m here. When you plan something so far advance, you don’t REALLY think it’s going to happen… But then it’s happening and you’re like whoa, holy crap this is happening. I’ve traveled before, but never this far away, especially on my own. I feel so grateful to be here, it’s been such a great experience. Special thanks to my friend Kristie and her family for hosting and putting up with me :D
I leave for Auckland tomorrow, can’t wait to see what the next couple weeks has to hold. Praying everything goes well, there’s heavy rain in Syd tomorrow :-/ fingers crossed I get there ok!!
I’ve had the Daft Punk/Pharrell song “Get Lucky” song stuck in my head all day. Favorite lyrics: “We’ve come too far to give up who we are. So let’s raise the bar and our cups to the stars.”
Definitely words to live by.
Though it’s #mildlycheesy
